Mt Kirk – Lithium and Gold Project (Western Australia)
Lithium Gold Mines Australia has obtained one hundred percent holdings of the Mt Kirk Project. The Mt Kirk project displays elevated lithium, tantalum, rubidium and tin values. It is indicative of highly fractionated pegmatite, up to 0.75% rubidium.
Two discrete pegmatite’s have been mapped and in addition four Costeans have been excavated. Across the pegmatite units and small bits have been excavated. Upon inspection extensive rubidium mineralization in addition to blue beryl has been identified.
The geochemistry of these intersections indicated high levels of fractionation and enrichment in strategic metals like pegmatite’s hosting mineralization at Greenbushes and in the Pilbara fields of Western Australia.
These are surface samples and are indicators warranting detailed exploration. Lithium gold mines intends to conduct detailed radiometric/magnetic surveying. Geometrical survey over areas undercover. Drill planning and budgeting.
This is also a high gold mineralization area and gold prospects will be evaluated. The project contains seven licenses over 12 square kilometers each and located approximately 5 kilometers south west of the township of Norseman. It is close to highways and relevant infrastructures. The tenure surrounds the north western extent of Lake Kirk and is accessible by a well-maintained dirt road.
Demand for electric cars is growing at a staggering rate globally, and so is the demand for battery metals set to skyrocket over the next decade. The demand currently well above supply levels and with the rate the market is growing this trend should continue.
The Western Australia region is renowned for its lithium bearing potential and supplies one third of the world’s lithium. Western Australia has a Lithium refinery planned this could allow miners to achieve a much higher price for ore.
Lithium Gold Mines Australia will continue to expand its operations in this area.
